This course provided an overview of ethics for the rehabilitation professional. Beginning with a historical perspective of ethics, the discussions outlined theories that help to define ethics and morality. This course delved further into the applied area of ethics to specifically discuss health care or medical ethics. Narrowing the discussion to address the specific needs of rehabilitation professionals, the course discussed ethical decision making based on 11 ethical principles developed by the American Physical Therapy Association.
